Terms & Conditions

When ordering online you are deemed to place the order through our secure online checkout process. As part of our checkout process you will be given the opportunity to check your order and to correct any errors. This information is also available to view by logging into your account online using your password and username created on registration.

We may refuse to accept an order:
where goods are out of stock or no longer available;
where we cannot obtain authorisation for your payment;
if there has been a pricing or product description error; or


Pricing: 
All prices include VAT (where applicable) at the current UK rates. 
Although we endeavour to keep all prices and information within the Website up to date and accurate at all times, on occasion manufacturers and suppliers will make changes without prior warning, for which we reserve the right to make pricing alterations and changes to information displayed at short notice. if a pricing error occurs through the website or by quotation upon enquiry or point of ordering, we will endeavour to maintain the price for you, but in circumstances where this is not possible we reserve the right to inform you of this error, and if you wish to proceed, make the necessary amendments prior to processing your order. We charge separately for postage and packaging the appropriate rates are set out on this website and in addition will be clearly displayed online during searching and checkout stages. 

Product Guarantees & Warnantess: 

All product warranties and guarantees are provided solely by the product manufacturer and the UK importers. If you have a claim under warranty, the moment you contact us we will act on your behalf to pursue your warranty claim. On most occasions products deemed faulty under warranty will need to be returned to either ourselves or the manufacturer/importer for further inspection, but this will be done in the quickest time possible and treated as a matter of urgency. If good quality images are available we may be able to use these to come to a conclusion. All warranty claims must prove proof of purchase and must be discussed with us before goods are returned.

Live Animal Terms & Conditions

When purchasing an animal from Slitherin Reptiles Ltd you agree to the terms and conditions of sale.
Full and correct set ups must be in place before collection of the animal, enclosures must meet or exceed the standard set out in the October 2018 Animal welfare regulations with regards to size, heating and lighting. Please talk to a member of staff for details and be aware they will require proof of set ups purchased elsewhere and have the right to refuse a sale.
A thermostat must control all heated enclosures; otherwise the animal’s safety is at risk – This alone will mean an instant refusal of sale.
We offer a 48-hour guarantee for death or illness on livestock This excludes: All, invertebrates, amphibians chameleons and any highly specialized reptilians. Animals collected by a third party, not arranged by us are not covered by our 48 hour guarantee.
If the animal dies within this time frame we will require the body to be frozen and returned along with an qualified exotic vets necropsy report stating actual cause of death (at your own expense).
We will not accept an animal back because you have changed your mind, these are living creatures, if you are unsure - do not buy the animal!
We cannot 100% guarantee the sex of any livestock, even if labelled as a specific sex. If the animal turns out to be the wrong sex outside the guarantee we cannot accept any liability.
Refusal of Sale of animal(s): The sale of animals will be refused if the purchaser doesn’t have / cannot prove they have correct set up in place.
The employee doesn’t feel the prospective purchaser will give the animal the correct level of care.
The purchaser is inebriated/ intoxicated or otherwise not fully in control of their mental faculties.
The purchaser is under 16 years old or cannot prove their age.
The animals welfare is our highest priority, so please don’t be offended when we ask questions, make a suggestion or refuse a sale.
Deposits Minimum Deposit of 25% Secures via Cash / Debit, Credit Cards / Bank Transfer This will secure the animal(s) up to the pre-arranged payment plan end date. ALL Deposits are NON REFUNDABLE If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact us directly.
